
How it Works Warranty Information
Pod Drop is a unique service provider for iPods requiring service or custom modifications. We perform repairs and modifications on all iPods except the iPod Shuffle. Our service originates at any one of the 4400 The UPS Store® and participating Mail Boxes Etc.® store locations.
There are two ways to use our service:
1. Fill out our online service request form. We will email a UPS shipping label to you. Package your iPod with the shipping and label and drop it off at any UPS location, or call for pickup.
2.Download and print the ReQuest for Service Form from our site. Take the completed form and your iPod to any The UPS Store® or participating Mail Boxes Etc.® location. Mention that you are a Pod Drop Corporate Account customer.
If you are unable to print the form tell the store associate so they can print the form for you.
You may either pre-package your iPod prior to your store arrival, or you can choose to have a store associate package it for you. There is NO cost to you for this service. Packaging Services and Package Materials for our service are "On the House!".
NOTE: Only ship the iPod itself. However, if you are experiencing a charging problem or a problem that you think is related to another item, please include it in the package.
Once your iPod has been properly packaged, a store associate will generate a ReQuest for Service work order number by inputting the information you supplied on the ReQuest for Service Form into the POS System. You'll be given a receipt as proof of mailing. Your assigned tracking number also acts as your Repair Work Order number in the Pod Drop network.

Your iPod will be shipped to a repair facility in the Pod Drop network for FREE with no up front cost to you.
In most cases, an authorized Pod Drop Network technician will contact you within 24 hours of receiving your product. Our technician will discuss the diagnosis and solution options in order to satisfy your service request. Most repairs can be performed within 48 hours (normal business days). Once the service is complete your iPod will be returned to the delivery address you provided on the ReQuest for Service form.
Our repair services are competitively priced but we cannot fairly quote you a price until a technician of the Pod Drop network examines your
defective unit. These are prices you can expect to pay for most repairs.
ACCEPT - Acceptance through verbal communications by means of telephone constitutes a legal binding agreement whereas payment for repairs or modifications is now required. At this time you will be required to supply us with a secure form of payment (CREDIT CARD or PAYPAL only) for our services.
DECLINE - If, for some reason, you decline our services, we MAY offer to purchase your defective product from you at an agreed upon price. Otherwise you will be subject to a $29.00 service fee to cover professional tech diagnosis and return shipping fees.
IN EITHER CASE, once you have been contracted by The Pod Drop network, you will be granted a 90 day window to either accept or decline our services. Merchandise left at our facility longer than 90 days will be deemed abandoned and automatically recycled. Please remember that recycled merchandise CANNOT be sent back to you!
If possible it is always a good idea to back up any media that has the potential of being lost in the repair process. The Pod Drop will make every effort to retain your data, but in the event that such material is lost, Pod Drop assumes NO responsibility. PLEASE back up your files.
